We are coming down the home stretch of the One Room Challenge, and I am so happy with how it’s coming along! This week I finished prepping the walls/trim for paint and I also finished painting the top part of the walls which I’m doing in SW Bohemian Lace. It’s already making the room feel bigger as opposed to what I had before, which was a greige color.

I also have the first coat of the board and batten painted and I. Am. In. Love. Backwoods Green by BM is possibly my favorite paint color decision to date. It’s so rich but doesn’t make the room feel too small. It’s just the right amount of moody.

I did a super fun and easy DIY art project this week also. I repurposed an old canvas using a fine art print from @shopvintagesupply.
Here are the supplies needed:
Canvas
Spray Adhesive
Wet rag or baby wipe
Super glue
Art print (mine is on fine art paper)
I used the spray adhesive to adhere the art print onto the canvas. I then used a baby wipe to rub around the edges of the print. The harder you press, the more of the dye it takes off of the print, making it more faded and vintage looking. Then I took superglue and put a thin line down the sides underneath the print to ensure the sides stuck down to the canvas. It’s easier to do this part when the edges of the print are still damp.

I love this option as an alternative way to display art as opposed to framing it. I’m also going to frame two vintage-inspired art prints and use them to hang a simple 3-piece gallery wall.
See you next week for the FINAL week of ORC! Still to come is an arch accent wall and some other finish touches including art and new fixtures.
