ORC- Week 3- Vintage Inspired Powder Room

I’ve finally made some design decisions and started purchasing things this week! Shocking, because it’s been difficult to narrow down all of my ideas thus far. I typically make only one or two design choices for a room at one time. Doing it all at once is surprisingly much more challenging.

First off, here’s what I decided for trim work:

Board and Batten

I would love to do a dark moody color for this part, however my powder room is small with no natural light. So I’m doing some paint sampling with a few dark options vs lighter options.

The second decision I made this week was which art I’m putting in this room. I’m going with vintage prints from @shopvintagesupply. I ordered two prints on fine art paper that I’m going to display two different ways.

I’m adhering this floral print to canvas. More details on that to come. The second print I chose was this lovely nature-inspired vintage drawing print. I’m going to frame this one.

I’m also for sure going to replace my light fixture with a more vintage looking gold wall sconce. I’m deciding between two different ones as of now.

If you have a favorite let me know!!

Now it’s time to bust out some power tools and put up some board and batten. 🙌🏻 Thanks for following along!

  1. Just found you on the ORC blog page and love this idea for a powder room! I seriously love the first light fixture! Wanted to ask what your instagram handle is? (also make sure to include a link back to the ORC blog page in your blog post, I know that’s one of the “rules”)
